Touch of Grey will, well, touch upon the rainbow that is life. Good music, good times, and good friends combine to make all the splendid colors. Touch of Grey will celebrate this beautiful rainbow.

You work for the government? I thought only the government could invent enough red tape to make any project sem like too much trouble!

That is good, Sugar!

In essence, I do. My hospital is a county hospital, ergo the red tape. Seriously, I had to go through two execs, the general stores manager, make out two requisitions for a $15.00 rubber stamper. NO JOKE! Never mind any other purchases....

It reminds me of that episode of M*A*S*H when the docs wanted to order an incubator for their cultures, and one of the head honchos had to come to the 4077th with his briefcase and proceed to tell them they have to fill out form # such-and-such in triplicate, send one copy here, one copy there, etc. Then Hawkeye said "Man, that seems like a lot of work for an incubator". The head honcho said, "Oh? An incubator? I thought you needed a pizza oven...." And then Hawkeye said "We're a MASH unit, why would we need a pizza oven". The hh said "Well, now that changes everything....". Hawkeye seemed to be satisfied with that, probably thinking, yeah, I thought all that was ridiculous just for an incubator, when the hh said "Well, you can have the pizza oven. But you can't get an incubator. Sorry. Do you want the oven after all?"

Just like the government...and just like my daily life at work.

*SIGH*

Validates the saying, "It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to ask permission", doesn't it?

I think we're all going to strangle on red tape.
