Indeed.
A novel use for a common household item caught my attention the other day and was revived in my memory just last night, after some big shakeups and cross words in the online world of the Victoria Advocate. Suffice to say, this blogger has jumped ship in search for a smarter audience and a publication with more integrity, namely my own blog site. So enjoy this interesting little article here, and I think you'll see what I mean by the relation to the joke of the Crossroads, the Victoria Advocate. It's so nice to know that newspapers can serve a dual function. Happy reading....and whatever else you may decide to do with your edition of the Victoria Advocate.

Nice (s)wipe!
Thank You!! Happy trails.....
Ironic that you'd choose as a subject, the sh*& of a repressive regime for your first post. Welcome to Freedom of Speech and no Bigjoke.
Good start. How appropriate!
Well, I was going to comment about her ox-bow mentality in mentioning Cuba, but I resisted until you posted, Pilot.
I s'pose we could start a recycled newspaper drive for a reverse Cuban boatlift to ease the shortage of TP (my grocery list acronym for the stuff).......Lord knows there are plenty of gently used, only driven on Sunday Advocates, lying around on laundry room catchall tables.....Problem is, there is already so much crap on those pages on a daily basis, it probably wouldn't hold any more..........
We could load them all up in a NEW car and float it back across, but I'm afraid you may be right--all that crap might make it sink on the way over.
Have you seen today print edition? Ginormous, full half page pic of MHS band doing a tribute to 9/11. All those folks pissing and moaning about picking a band story over the 9/11 story for the front page ought to be real happy this morning.
Hey, I was one of those folks pissing and moaning about the 9/11 thing, but must confess it was mostly to get in the illustrious editor's craw. Hope it worked!!
BTW, irony is my specialty. See, the readers who have followed me here have gotten the biting sarcasm immediately and know that my choice of a story out of Cuba was no mistake. The other pissant readers on the VicAd would never have even gotten it. And as a wise man once said, "I love it when people get me".
Yep. Thanks, y'all.
I thought the whole Cuba story was hysterical. It was like reading The Onion. I just love to pick those up when I am in Austin. I might have to comment on some of those articles.
Yes, but you were p&m to run the 9/11 story, not the band story, right? Again, IMO, everyone should have been happy this morning!
Sugar: My "juicy" contribution has twice been wiped out by the FFOF. Gotta go administer a soothing poltice to my afterburner, danged pepper seeds.
