Just because these are two of the coolest songs ever.
Truthfully, they have absolutely nothing to do with each other, save for the fact that they've both been in my head all day.
And that makes for a GROOVY day!!
I do confess that I had a hard time deciding between live and studio versions of both songs, but then I remembered that I DON'T HAVE TO CHOOSE! So, I won't. You don't have to, either!
ENJOY!

Hey, I noticed the time stamp and you waited until that five o'clock whistle blew, didn't you?
Couple of dejavu moments caused by the videos: I had a hat and boots like the girls in the b/w video. I think the show was Hullabaloo.
I loved Drew Carey, because I grew up in that area and the people are a different breed all together.
In the YES video I see a Hammond B3organ and I dated a keyboarder who played the same instrument. Man do I feel old...especially now that I don't have to wait for the five o'clock whistle to tell me it's time to leave work.
Once again, thanks for taking me along on your memory trip. It was great fun.
Warmly, Ferret
Know what I find fascinating about you, Ferret. You have such a sharp eye for detail. You notice everything, and that speaks of an intelligent, inquisitive nature. I loved the Drew Carey show, too - it's just a flat-out great show, and when they did "Five O'Clock World", that just put me over the moon. I still love it and love the reruns. I will take your word for the nature of the Ohioans, as I haven't been up there yet.
Glad you had fun with the videos, and I know that music and style are two things we are so in sync on...I can picture you dressed in the fashions of the era!! And what a cool sight!!
